Brasil Ride is the largest mountain bike stage race in the Americas and a UCI-accredited event. The flagship 7-day ultramarathon covers 536 km with 7,630 m of elevation gain through the stunning landscapes of southern Bahia, from the Atlantic Forest to the coast near Arraial d'Ajuda. Open to solo riders, duos, and trios, it attracts both elite professionals and ambitious amateurs from around the world. The course combines dense singletrack through Atlantic Forest, fast coastal fire roads, river crossings, and punchy climbs through cacao plantations. Each stage averages 70-80 km with significant accumulated fatigue over the week. The tropical climate means heat and humidity are constant factors, with October temperatures regularly above 30 C. Training should prioritize multi-day endurance with progressive back-to-back long rides building to 5-6 hours. Include MTB-specific skills work on technical singletrack, heat acclimatization sessions, and practice riding with fatigue from previous days. Nutrition and recovery strategy across multiple days is as important as physical fitness for this event.
